Storm Warning is about a small town in Nova Scotia that's dealing with a storm that's approaching. The storm looks like it'll pass but the storm will just keep going and never go away.
The film is set during the Second World War, where Canada was in charge of evacuating people from the war-torn areas. They were trying to help Europe by bringing them to Canada so the Europeans could start a new life. This would make their stay in Canada short-term, as they would eventually have to go back home. One of those ships had been torpedoed and sunk by Nazis, which led everyone on board to death.
