How To Use The Soap On A Ryobi Pressure Washer

Ryobi pressure washers are nifty pieces of equipment you can use to clean everything, from your car to the house.

Having said that, many people find it a bit challenging to use the soap dispensing function present in the Ryobi models. That's why I am here to let you know how to use the soap on a Ryobi pressure washer effectively for excellent cleaning.

So, without further ado, let's jump into it!

How To Use The Soap On Your Ryobi Pressure Washer?

Before I start telling you the steps on how to use the soap dispenser, I recommend you first read the user manual. Indeed, this tiny booklet has almost everything you need to know.

Moreover, it will tell you about the right kind of soap to use with your Ryobi model. I would highly suggest you only use a dispensing liquid or soap meant for pressure washers to ensure a smooth foam delivery.

Now, it's time to learn about correctly using the soap.

Step 1: Figure Out Where's The Soap Dispenser

Usually, the soap dispensers in Ryobi pressure washers are placed either at the back or in the front. Another way to look for the dispenser is to find the cap with "soap" written on it, but this might not be true for every model.

Step 1: Figure Out Where's The Soap Dispenser

Usually, the soap dispensers in Ryobi pressure washers are placed either at the back or in the front. Another way to locate the dispenser is to find the cap with "soap" written on it, but this might not be true for every model.

Step 2: Fill The Dispenser With Soap

Now, you need to fill the dispenser with the liquid soap while making sure not to overfill as it may cause excessive lathering. Even though most latest Ryobi models don't require you to dilute the liquid, you should still check the user manual once to confirm. Then, close the cap before proceeding to the next step.

Also, you may notice a tube attached to the cap at the back. Always remember to push that tube deep inside the dispenser while closing the cap, or else you won't be able to dispense the soap properly.

Step 3: Dispense Soap On Low Pressure

While using pressure washers, remember that they dispense soap only in the low-pressure mode. So, irrespective of which Ryobi model you own, ensure that it's set at low pressure to spray soap while cleaning.

You may need to make minor adjustments in pressure depending on the pressure washer model. That said, some come with an interchangeable tip that needs to be replaced before using the machine on low or high-pressure models. In contrast, others have an elongated lance or a spray wand with a twistable feature in the front that allows you to change the water pressure.

So, start by spraying the soap on the low-pressure mode and then switch to the high-pressure mode for pressure cleaning.

Final Words

That’s everything that I had to tell you about using soap on your Ryobi pressure washer. Remember to ensure that the interchangeable tip is sitting tightly on the pipe. If not, it may get lost and even cause damage to your car when you turn on the water.

Do let me know if you have any further queries about using soap on Ryobi pressure washers. Till then, goodbye, and take care!
