Does cleaning stubborn dirt from the floor take most of your time?

Before you give up and call the professionals, consider adding a chemical injector on your pressure washer for a clean job. After all, using only water is not enough at times, and a strong detergent or chemical is essential to remove the last bits of dirt.

Read till the end to find out “How to install chemical injector on pressure washer.”

How To Install Chemical Injector On Pressure Washer

Chemical injectors are devices that pull chemicals or detergent into the pump and mix it with water for cleaning. While each brand has a unique method for installing injectors, I’ll try to explain the most common one applicable for all pressure washers

1. Remove Electricity Plugs For Safety

Before you even begin, I’d like to remind you to keep safety first. So, remove the washer from all-electric plugs to avoid any unwanted accidents. It is best to avoid making any changes to the system unless the plug is removed and the engine has cooled down.

2. Match The Flow Of The Pressure Washer

You need to ensure that the chemical injector you have selected is compatible with the pressure washer. If the two do not match in strength and flow, it will be difficult for you to use the device while cleaning.

Also, the hose must be unfastened to prevent it from twisting and bending all over the place. So, untangle and straighten it up before starting.

3. Inspect The Chemical Injector

Chemical injectors have indicators that show the orientation of the water flow. Essentially, they highlight where the water originates and when it is removed. Again, it should fit the washer device that you plan to install it in. Add a ball bearing into the injector after placing the O-rings correctly over the holes.

Now, all of these parts should align with the injector outlet. Don’t worry if you are attempting this for the first time; the injector kits usually have illustrative instructions in them. The guide should be enough to show you the correct placement.

4. Hook The Discharge Hose And Reattach The Plug

Once the essentials are put in place, you can hook up the discharge hose and place it in the detergent or chemical bucket. After following all the steps correctly, replace the spark plug to check if the chemical injector works.

5. Use The Nozzle

When all is set up, attach the black soap nozzle to check if it works. Alternatively, you could turn the dual-line to low pressure to make it function properly.

Final Words

So, that was my quick guide about installing a chemical injector on the pressure washer. After using the detergent or chemicals, don’t forget to change the nozzles and rinse off the soap from the device.

I hope this short guide gave you a basic idea of installing injectors. Take care, bye!
