Are Vans Good For Running Or Walking

Be it going to school or office, walking and running are an absolute must for everyone. And to comfortably go about either, you need good shoes.

Even if you need an essential chore completed, you might have to run to places to get them done. For that, you will need the right pair of shoes. When I feel stressed, I go for long walks, and sometimes I run to combat stress effectively

And I have tried to inculcate this habit in my kids too; as a result, I am always on the lookout for good shoes. With luck, I came across Vans, and things changed for good. Hi! I am Stacy Smith, and if you are wondering: are Vans shoes good for running or walking, then you will find all the answers in this guide.

I have mentioned all that you should look for in walking and running shoes and what is it about Vans that makes them great for both. Read on to make the right choice.

Are Vans Fit For Running?

Vans market their sneakers primarily as running shoes, so you can rest assured that you can run well in them. Their product Mesho Iso 1.5 is highly liked by consumers across the globe because of its design. It is lightweight, has durable soles, and is made out of comfortable and breathable fabric.

These shoes provide you with a lot of cushioning, so you can easily wear them when running for a long time. They are great for weight resistance activities too, but keep in mind that not all their shoes are made of breathable fabric. So, be careful when selecting one for yourself.

Characteristics To Look For:

An essential thing to look for in running shoes is comfort. You cannot wear a pair for a long time while running if it is not comfortable, right? Also, make sure that they are flexible so that you can enjoy steady movements without the fear of hurting yourself.

Apart from that, you should look for good cushioning that the soles provide. If they do not, your feet will start aching in a while. And lastly, it is essential that the shoes provide you with arch support so that your heels do not hurt.

To Sum Up - Vans: Running Shoes?

I am a big fan of Vans when it comes to running shoes as they provide great comfort at affordable rates. And with their supportive soles, they provide good arch support to your heels, preventing any form of ankle ache. When you get the right pair, you will be able to enjoy both comfort and flexibility.

Vans Men's Range BRZ Shoe - Low-Top Athletic Fashion Sneakers for Walking. (Suede/Canvas) Black/White. 10

Honestly, even as a walking shoe, Vans does a great job. The reason why I prefer them over other brands is that they offer a high level of comfort. Irrespective of the generation gap, me and my children love the walking shoes made by the brand.

There’s no doubt that they provide an excellent grip, thereby reducing any chances of slipping and falling. And just because they provide all these advantages, do not think that they aren’t stylish.

However, from my experience, I can tell that these aren’t the best when it comes to long-distance walking. The material tends to wear off fast if you go for long walks too often. So, the chances are that the durability of the shoes will go down considerably.

Characteristics To Look For:

When walking, it is essential that the shoe grip is impressive. Otherwise, you might place steps incorrectly, and there will be chances of injuries. So, a firm grip and good fit is an absolute must, a non-negotiable.

When you are walking, go for flat shoes instead of heels as they will provide you with the utmost comfort. With heels, the shoes may look more attractive but will be a bit uncomfortable to wear. And most importantly, before buying, check if they are flexible to enable you to walk easily and flex your feet.

To Sum Up - Vans: Walking Shoes?

I completely disagree when people say that walking shoes are boring. It won’t be the case if you are able to pick the right pair of Vans. I would suggest that you go for their low-top sneakers. They are a combination of fashion and comfort and are great for travel purposes.

They go with everything that you might wear and are pretty multi-purpose in use. So, you do not have to carry many pairs of shoes and make your luggage heavy. They are available in a range of colors, and for light packers like me, they are a blessing!

Other Uses

You might be surprised to know that the utility of Vans is not just restricted to walking and running but they have a range of other uses. Since Vans came into the market, they have been well-liked by weight-lifters too.

Because of their raised heel, lifters prefer Vans over ordinary shoes as they provide better support

And not just that, even hikers share a love for Vans pairs. It is true that they are not precisely marketed as hiking shoes, but I have tried wearing them during some of my light hiking trips, and they are great.

However, if the terrain is rugged, your shoes might get damaged. Keep that in mind whenever you wonder if you should go hiking wearing a pair of Vans shoes or not.

Final Words

And with that, my friends, it’s a wrap.

By now, you must have understood why Vans is well-loved by everyone. Be it hiking, weight-lifting, walking, or running, there’s one (or more) for every purpose. And there are hardly any negative reviews that I have come across.

After using them, I have to say that their popularity is well-earned. They are helpful, cost-effective, and provide excellent grip. What’s there not to like? If you have any further questions that you would like me to answer, feel free to ask in the comments section below.

Until next time, fare thee well!
