That being said, this tiller is more compact than the gas-powered tiller my husband uses for the lawn. But don’t be fooled – it tears through the soil with as much power as its gas-powered counterparts that are almost six times its size.
Needless to say, the Sun Joe tiller is a quick and effortless alternative, especially when compared to mechanical tools, such as the traditional hoe.
A 13.5-amp motor resting in the heart of the Sun Joe tiller proves itself to be the powerhouse of the machine. All you need to do is plug the device in and squeeze the trigger for it to begin pulverizing soil, weeds, rocks, and anything that comes in the way.
Along with the motor, six formidable angle tines cut through the garden bed at 370 RPM. Moreover, the machine has a comfortable tilling width of 16 inches, so you don’t have to work for too long to get a small garden prepped. What’s more, height-adjustable wheels make the task of tilling all the more convenient.
Before buying any electrical tiller, it is best to check its voltage or amperage. Generally, the higher the amperage is, the better the machine works in slicing stubborn grass and soil.
