Wall-mounted shower heads work the best when installed 80 inches above the floor. Still, there are no ground rules, and you can adjust them according to your usage. If there are taller people in your house, consider installing the head a few inches higher.

A rain shower head is fixed directly above the head to give the user an illusion of standing in the rain. It might not be possible to get a ceiling type shower head because of their high price, so you can make do with a regular one installed fairly high for that rain-like feel.
For this, the recommended height is 84 inches, but you can go a few inches higher if you are taller than average. This shower head is extremely convenient for those who have members of different heights in their family, as it accommodates everyone, owing to its high placement.
Now, a handheld shower will be maneuvered by your hands, so it needs to be lower than the other types to prevent straining or muscle fatigue. Hence, the best height ranges from 72 to 78 inches.
Moreover, this shower head is fixed on a vertical bar, which can be easily adjusted at your convenience. While buying this design, make sure that the hose is flexible and at least 60 inches long to make the most of it. It is also a great option for kids’ bathrooms, considering how fast children grow up.
The wall above the shower pan needs to be covered with waterproof material, so the standard enclosure height for this is 72 to 78 inches. But you can also buy ready-made ones that are 96 inches tall.
Although the standard height is 80 inches, it won’t be fitting for every individual, so take the liberty of tweaking it according to your needs. That said, I’ll call the curtains for the day.
