How Should Danskos Fit?

You must have already heard a lot about Danskos and its brilliant footwear range. The clogs, in particular, are super comfortable and last longer than you think.

But I know that these can be pretty expensive, and you might be thinking twice before purchasing them. At least I was pretty apprehensive, and that is when I started asking around about the fit and comfort.

One of my friends has been using these shoes for more than 10 years, and she came forward and told me all about them. These shoes have a very comfortable sole, and you can wear them for years without any issues.

But she also explained how the fit was crucial, and walked me through the many ways to get the perfect fit.

Hi! I am Stacy Smith, and today I am going to share all that I know about how should Danskos fit. This read should prepare you well, and you will be able to buy a pair of these prized shoes easily.

So, gear up and dive in!

How Should Danskos Fit?

I have found that Danskos shoes can run a bit small for some people. This is especially true for those who have a foot size that is a half-inch extra than the whole standard sizes. In that case, always opt for the next closest whole size.

Now I was unable to understand what kind of fit to opt for in the beginning before purchasing one. And that is when my friend stepped in again and told me that a snug and comfortable fit is what is needed.

However, if the toes go up all the way and touch the front part of the clogs, then your feet might hurt. Also, the top of your feet should not be touching the shoes, which may happen with people who have arching or broad feet.

So, I’d recommend buying one size bigger to ensure that you can slip your last finger in the heel area. That would provide you with the right amount of comfort, and you can walk easily for hours without any discomfort.

In this regard, the next question that is asked by many people is how to know if their Danskos are bigger than what they should be. You will know it is too big if you can slip more than a pinky finger in it after wearing the shoe.

Remember that a loose fit will not give you good results, and you can even stumble while walking. I will recommend going for a snug fit so that you don’t have to curl your toes or press them against the front of the shoe while walking.

The best thing about Danskos is that they have clogs for both wide and narrow feet for men and women. And you can call up customer care to know more about the sizes and fit.

How To Stretch Danskos Clogs?

Before purchasing, you should know that Danskos clogs are made from leather, and leather stretches out with time. So, after purchasing a pair, try to break in and see if it is comfortable. If you want to stretch it out quickly, then pair them with thick socks.

This is a trick that my friend told me about, and it goes a long way in preventing shoe bites. Just remember to wear the socks with the shoes for the first few days or weeks, and they will stretch out depending on the size of your feet.

Another way to stretch the shoe for that perfect fit is by using a hairdryer. You can use it to warm up the place where the shoe is pinching you, and that would help in losing the leather. Now here, some people would suggest stuffing it with fabric and paper balls, but I would not recommend it immediately.

First, try the heating process or wear it with thicker socks and see. You would want the shoes to conform to your foot’s shape, as that would offer the best fit. If you keep stuffing the shoes and keep them that way, they will stretch out, but you won’t have control over the process.

Hence, they might end up stretching out too much, which is again not needed. You can also try using a shoe stretcher which works well for most leather shoes.

Will Danskos Shoes Be Comfortable?

Danskos shoes are some of the most comfortable footwear that you will find on the market nowadays. I have a family friend who is a nurse, and she wears them to work every day just because they are so comfortable. Since these clogs are made to be durable, they will work well for those who have to walk quite a lot.

Moreover, they have anti-fatigue rocker bottoms, which will help in reducing fatigue. I spend a lot of time roaming around in my garden and taking care of plants, and these shoes have not given me a foot ache at all.

Final Words

If you purchase the right fit, then Danskos clogs could well become your favorite footwear. They come with a wide heel design to make your feet feel relaxed at all times. My friend said that chefs and medical authorities love these shoes, as they look professional and provide just the right amount of comfort.

While they may not be as stylish as some of the other footwear, I am happy to compromise on looks for comfort. Plus, I must say that they last longer and are very easy to clean and maintain. Yes, you might have to spend a little more than usual, but it is completely worth it.

With this, I have reached the end of the guide, and it is time to bid goodbye. And I will be back soon with more such interesting and informative reads. Let me know if you have any further queries about Danskos clogs in the comments section below.

Bye!
