However, they are disturbed by vibrations when you’re driving and move to more sheltered spots to protect themselves. Such areas include the spots behind side-view mirrors and inside the air vents.

Here are some of the best methods by which you can remove spiders from the various hiding spots in your car. 

1. Cleaning And Vacuuming The Hiding Spots 

While cleaning or washing the car, make sure to clean all the hiding spots, such as behind the side-view mirrors. So, adjust the mirrors by moving them in and out to get behind them and also make sure to clean under the wheel arches and the bonnet. 

You can use a powerful vacuum cleaner to get rid of dust, spiders, eggs, and other pests that serve as food sources for these arachnids. 

2. Using Natural Scents 

Spiders cannot tolerate certain natural smells, such as lavender, eucalyptus, and peppermint. You can use these essential oils by creating a solution containing five drops of any of these compounds along with 200 ml of water. 

Add a few drops of dishwashing detergent and spray inside your vehicle before spraying hard-to-reach areas, such as the air vents. You can also soak a cotton bud with a few drops of these essential oils and leave it in the glove or boot compartment.  

3. Using Commercial Insecticides 

Several types of insecticides are available on the market and can be used very effectively to kill spiders hiding in your car. Using such products has a lasting effect and will even kill spiders that are hidden from sight. 

Additionally, it will get rid of any surviving spiders, but when using insecticides, be very careful and do not use the vehicle immediately after use. It would be best to read the instructions provided by the manufacturer and follow them carefully.
