How To Wind Trimmer Line Husqvarna

Husqvarna is undoubtedly one of the leading manufacturers of gas-powered string trimmers. And naturally, It has quite a few functional models in its repertoire. 

But it doesn’t matter which model you use; you’ll eventually have to change the trimmer line after a point in time. Therefore, it’s best to learn how to wind a trimmer line when you notice your existing one getting brittle and nearing the end of its lifespan.

How To Wind Trimmer Line Husqvarna 

Follow these steps to wind your Husqvarna string trimmer line: 

Step 1 

First, place the string trimmer on a flat surface and disengage the spark plug boot to access the string trimmer head. 

Step 2 

After that, grip the head and tightly press the tabs on the opposite sides of the rim. Then, pull the cap off and remove the spool. If you have trouble figuring it out, I suggest contacting the manufacturer and asking them how to go about it. 

Step 3 

Next, take out the worn-out line completely and wipe the head and the spool with a soft cloth. Now, prepare a line from the new roll, be sure to take the measurement using tape, and cut it with scissors. The user manual will contain all the information about the size of the line, so make sure you keep it handy.

Step 4 

Once you finish preparing the line, find its center, hold it and clasp it onto the notch of the spool. 

Step 5 

Now, wind these two lines around the spool in the same direction as the arrows. Be a little careful while doing this, as you don’t want the lines to cross over themselves. Make sure you keep each line in its separate section. 

Step 6 

When you are left with 6 inches of both the lines remaining, stop winding further. Then clasp the line closer to the head of the spool in a notch on the rim, and clasp the other line into an opposite notch. Ensure that the other line has crossed on top of the first so that it is able to make a connection. 

Step 7 

Lastly, replace the spool back inside the cap and place it on the trimmer head by clamping it down as hard as you can until it fits.
