Sun Joe Pressure Washer How To Use Soap

If you’re looking for a compact power washer, the Sun Joe Pressure Washer fits the bill!

But not many know how to use this device, especially if they have just transitioned from a gas-powered one. Plus, the Sun Joe unit comes with five different spray nozzles, making it even more confusing for beginners.

Hence, I’ve curated this brief yet informative guide on “Sun Joe Pressure Washer How To Use Soap” to help you out.

Sun Joe Pressure Washer How To Use Soap

Initial Assembly

Fortunately, the pressure washer is delivered partially assembled, so it shouldn’t take any more than 30 minutes to set up the rest of the parts.

Step 1

Start by attaching the soap bottles, the wand holders, and the hose holder. All of these parts are made of heavy-duty plastic and need to be fixed to the washer with the help of small screws.

Step 2

Next, twist both the metal spray wand and the plastic trigger gun together for a snug fit. Ensure that you don’t strip the plastic threads during this step.

Step 3

Finally, connect the trigger gun to the water hose, and your Sun Joe pressure washer is ready to use!

How To Use The “Soap” Nozzle

Step 1

Fill the removable detergent tanks with some pressure-washer-friendly cleaning solutions of your choice. You can use two different products for efficient cleaning on multiple surfaces. The detergent selection dial will allow you to switch between the two tanks and control the concentration of soap.

Step 2

Attach the “Soap” nozzle and plug the unit in. Note that you must use this low-pressure nozzle when working with detergent. Other nozzles are 0°, 15°, 25°, and 40°, each of which is used to clean different areas, materials, vehicles, and more.

Step 3

Turn on the faucet and the pressure washer, and use the trigger to spray soapy water on the desired area. Note that the machine may make some noise in the beginning while pushing water into the pump. However, the overall operating noise is pretty low (for a pressure washer) at 81 dB.

Other Spray Nozzles

As mentioned earlier, the Sun Joe Pressure Washer comes with five quick-connect nozzles suitable for different cleaning requirements. After using my Sun Joe unit a couple of times, here’s what I think each nozzle is suitable for…

  • The 0° (orange) tip is best for removing grease, tar, and mud from small, hard-to-reach areas.
  • The 15° (yellow) tip effectively removes paint, rust, and mildew stains from hard surfaces.
  • The 25° (green) tip is suitable for deep cleaning patios, driveways, and vinyl siding.
  • The 40° (gray) tip is ideal for cleaning vehicles and patio furniture.
  • The soap (black) tip offers a low pressure suitable for soapy solutions.

Final Words

And that’s all you need to know before using the soap nozzle of the Sun Joe Electric Pressure Washer. Considering its design, size, and power, the device is an easy-to-use and effective medium-duty washer that promises versatility, thanks to its detachable nozzles.

Although the steps mentioned above are easy to follow, I recommend checking the manufacturer’s manual for better clarity. Or, if you feel stuck at a particular step, check out some online tutorials, and you’ll be good to go!
