What Did We Like About It?
Today, Scotts is a leading name in the lawn care industry, dealing with the manufacture of praiseworthy products like the Scotts Elite Spreader. Let’s take a look at a few of its praiseworthy features.
1. Ergonomic Design
We found Scotts Elite to be one of the most accurate and easy to use spreaders. This is because of its ergonomic design, which allowed us to conveniently spread the fertilizer on our lawn.
The ergonomic handle features a smartphone holder so that you can easily access important notifications and more during its use. It also comes with dual rotors to ensure exceptional and accurate performance.
2. Versatile
In our opinion, the highlight of this spreader is undoubtedly its versatile use. It is designed to conquer all-seasons, making it a valuable investment option. That being said, you can use it to seed, feed, and remove weed from your lawn during spring, summers, and fall. Not just that, but it can also spread ice-melting agents in winters.
We were impressed by its 10-inch never-flat, foam-filled tires, which enabled us to easily maneuver the spreader in all terrains. In fact, you will be surprised at how smoothly it operates, even in the uneven and wet areas of your yard.
3. Capacity
The large hopper of the Scotts Elite is capable of holding 20,000 sq.ft. of fertilizer, grass seed, salt, or ice-melting agents. So, it serves as an ideal choice for those with a vast lawn area.
We were able to spread different lawn products accurately with a 6 feet spread pattern. This saved us a ton of time. To be precise, the spreader is engineered to ensure a 20% faster application.
What Could’ve Been Better?
Although the Scotts Elite is a valuable option that ensures quick and accurate performance all-year-round, it falls far behind in terms of the quality of its build.
We weren’t quite impressed with the quality of materials used to make the spreader. This, in turn, may compromise its overall durability. Despite being an affordable unit, we expected a leading brand like Scotts to deliver a complete package.
That being said, we can assure you that its poor quality build does not come in the way of its efficient performance. To sum up, Scotts Elite Spreader may not be perfect, but it serves its purpose well in all seasons and terrains.
