Lilium convallarioides is a herbaceous perennial plant that produces bell-shaped flowers. This flower grows best in shady areas, and begins blooming in the early spring. This flower starts growing bulbs in the fall which will burst to become flowers in the next year. The most common colors for lily of the valley are white and green.

Linaria is a genus of plants that are commonly known as "toadflax." Toadflax plants can grow up to two feet in height and produce yellow or orange flowers. The flowers usually have five petals with light green leaves surrounding the stem. Linaria's flower can range from small, to large, to double-sized flowers.

Lisianthus is a plant that is part of the family of "Amaryllidaceae". They grow from 8 to 24 inches in height and produce flowers that are typically violet or white. Lisianthus flowers can also be purple, pink, yellow or black.

Lobelia

Lobelia is a genus of flowering plants and shrubs. These plants have lobed leaves and can be found in North America, Europe, Asia and Africa. The flowers on some Lobelia's plants are blue or yellow, while others can be red, white or pink.

Lotus

Lotus

Lotus is a genus in the plant family Linaceae. It is found around large bodies of water, such as ponds and riverbanks. The flowers are formed from six large petals and come in a variety of colors, including pink, white and blue.

Lotuses have been used in ancient times for ritualistic purposes. The flower is often regarded as a symbol of life and immortality because it can survive under water for long periods of time.
