You might not know this, but the letter G is for gardeners! Flowers that start with the letter G are perfect for you. Gaillardia
The first of my flowers that start with the letter G is this easy-to-care-for plant called a gaillardia. This flower is actually in the sunflower family and blooms its bright colors from summer right up through fall. The bigger the pot, the larger this flower grows. You can also add more of them to give your garden an even larger, brighter look.
Gardenia
Next on my list of flowers that start with the letter G is a gardenia plant, which is one of my favorite flowers. My mother used to have them all over her yard when I was growing up. We never had any problems with gardenias and they can grow in as much shade as you can give them. They only need occasional watering and are great for beginners and experts alike.
Geranium
Rounding out my flowers that start with the letter G is a geranium plant. These plants, which are also in the sunflower family, come in a wide range of colors and work well as an accent color or even as your main flower. They can be used to ground flowering vines or placed near windows for great color all year round.
Gaura
Another of my favorite flowers is called gaura. This perennial that starts with the letter G works well in any garden. In fact, it can grow happily in a pot that's as small as one foot across! You can also take cuttings and create new plants to give your landscape more color and grow from year to year.
Gerbera
The next of my favorite flowers that start with the letter G is a gerbera. This flower comes in almost every color you can think of and has all kinds of uses. These plants are great as a feature plant, grouped together for a colorful centerpiece or even by themselves for a simple bouquet. They're also very easy to grow, so even beginners can have a great experience with them!
Gladiolus
The last of my favorite flowers that start with the letter G is a gladiolus plant. These are actually one of my all-time favorites and I put them in just about any garden or landscape that I create.
Goldenrod
The final flower that starts with this letter is my favorite of all time. I love the goldenrod plant so much, in fact, that when I was naming this business almost ten years ago I decided to use it as part of my name! Goldenrods are very easy-to-care-for plants and come in an incredible array of colors and heights. In fact, they can even grow into small trees that you can use bordering your yard or on the side of your home!
Grape Hyacinth
The letter G is also for the grape hyacinth flower. This pretty little purple plant starts blooming its tiny flowers just as soon as the first signs of spring appear. It's one of those natural signals that tell you that winter is really over, and it can grow well in almost any container or small spot.
Gypsophila
And the very last of my favorites is the gypsophila flower. This plant has a nickname that you might recognize – baby's breath! That's because this soft little white flower is almost too cute to believe. It can be used in weddings and other events, or even just as an accent to your home decor throughout the year.
